How Long Can I Wear Saalt Wear & How To Change My Saalt Wear at SchoolUpdated 4 days ago
Go with your flow! How long you can wear your Saalt Wear leakproof underwear before needing to change will depend on your flow and the absorbency level of your Saalt Wear. If you are free bleeding on your heavy day, you may need to change into a fresh pair after a few hours of wear. If you’re wearing your Saalt Wear as a backup to a cup or on a light day, you may be able to wear it all day. We recommend trying Saalt Wear for the first time at home so you can see how your pair works best for your body and ~flow~.
If you start to feel damp or notice your flow spreading toward the seams, this means you should change into a fresh pair of Saalt Wear.
Tips for Changing Saalt Wear at School
- Bring a Backup Pair - Pack an extra pair (or 2) of Saalt Wear in a small, wet/dry bag or reusable pouch that can fit in your backpack. Our Go Bag is perfect for this since it's waterproof lining will keep the rest of the bag nice and dry when you need to stash a used pair in it!

- Change Like You Would Regular Underwear - Simply slip off the used pair, fold it up, and tuck it into your waterproof bag. Then change into your fresh pair. If you have access to a private sink, we recommend rinsing your used pair right away. Otherwise, you can store it in your bag until you are back at home and rinse it then. Don't let it sit for too long though, as this is how odors and stains can form.

- Keep Your Saalt Wipes Handy - Just in case things get a little messy! That way you can wipe up before leaving the stall and washing your hands.

- Pair with Other Protection - On heavier flow days, or when you feel ready, you can wear Saalt Wear with a menstrual cup or disc so you may not need to change at school at all.

- Practice at Home First - Try a “test run” of changing in your bathroom at home so you feel more confident when doing it at school.

- Stay Confident ✨ - Remember that Saalt Wear is designed to be leakproof and odor-absorbing, so most people don’t need to change often—just having a backup pair is usually enough for peace of mind.
