The Comfort Collection is made from a Tencel Modal fabric that does tend to pill a bit faster than other fabrics as Tencel fibers are fabricated from wood pulp. Tencel has greater hygroscopicity which means the fibers will take on water which can cause the ends to break off. This is especially true if you are wearing clothing or letting any material rub against your Comfort Saalt Wear (like jeans or bed sheets). We have tested our fabrics to ensure they are consistent with industry standards. Any pilling should not affect the usability of the garment. But if the pilling is something that bothers you then a different fabric may be a better fit for you such as our Seamless, Cotton, or Lace & Mesh styles.
