What is Saalt Wear made of?Updated 4 days ago

The custom, patented gusset of Saalt Wear is made with several layers of polyester-based fabric. Hydrophobic and hydrophilic layers work together: A top layer wicks away moisture, moving it away from the body and leaving you feeling dry. Middle layers absorb and hold moisture, and the bottom leak-resistant layer keeps everything locked within the underwear. The gusset is 100% polyester, and the lining is 92% recycled polyester, 8% elastane, < 1% polyurethane. Watch this video to see in real-time how our gusset technology works.

Our Saalt Teen Brief is made of soft-stretch, lightweight nylon body fabric has 12% spandex for good recovery and fit. This fabric moves with you with lots of give and won’t restrict or bind. Semi-matte luster, colors chosen by teens, and subtle contrast piping along the waistband.

Some of our fabrics are OEKO-TEX®️ and bluesign®️ approved, which are internationally recognized standards for making textiles cleaner and more environmentally friendly.

As a B Corp, Saalt also supports ethical sourcing and manufacturing practices. Our ethically-made garments are made in a renowned factory that guarantees safe and healthy labor conditions and goes above and beyond to provide housing, medical care, safe water, and college scholarships for their seamstresses and workers.
